The temperature got to 21.4 degrees in Regina on Saturday which came very close to breaking the record for the warmest April 2 in Saskatchewan’s capital city.
The record was set in 1991 when the mercury climbed to 21.8 Celsius.
While Regina did not break a record, several Saskatchewan communities did including Moose Jaw where it got to 24. 5 degrees.
Other communities breaking a record included Weyburn, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Rosetown.
After a day where it got into the low twenties, Sunday will see a forecast high of 7.
