Two and a half weeks after leading his Saskatchewan Party to a 3rd mandate, Premier Brad Wall is announcing a new session of the Legislature will begin May 17 with a throne speech.
Speaking to reporters this morning, the Premier says this session will see the government’s focus remaining on keeping Saskatchewan strong which is what they said during the election campaign.
Wall said the government is currently working to prepare its legislative agenda and the provincial budget, which will be based on its platform in the recent provincial election. That budget is slated to come down on June 1.
It was also revealed work on the new dome of the Legislative building will be unveiled in a public ceremony one day before the session begins.
