A deadline has been set for a developer to prove it can successfully build a P3 school in Regina’s northwest.
Rosewood Park Alliance Church has until Friday to provide the city with its plan or risk giving up the development the school site to the municipality.
Jason Petrunia with SvN – a partner of the developer – says the process has been a diffcult one for them.
Petrunia says the developers had asked administration for concessions but they were denied.
Rosewod Park Alliance Church was to develop the site of the future school, but says ran into problems after the City decided the church was not meeting all the requirments to finish the project on time.
The church is preparing the site for one of the province’s nine joint-use schools.
In 2014, Regina City Council approved a development in northwest Regina called Rosewood Park.
The proposal was put forward by Rosewood Park Alliance church which had been trying to develop 20 hectares by their church for 30 years.
Council also passed an ammendment to take their concerns with the P3 project to the province.
