While the wildfires rage in Northeastern Alberta and continue to roll over the community of Fort McMurray, you might find yourself in the same boat as many of us looking in on this disaster.
The questions that are top of mind: How can I HELP? What can I DO?
Friends in Alberta continue to post what they are doing for this community. Firefighters from communities south of the fire zone are being dispatched to help in their areas of expertise. Volunteer firefighters are gathering and making the trek to help fight shoulder to shoulder with others.
As images continue to flood out of Alberta we see how Canadians support Canadians – Albertans that are displaced are not alone. Fort McMurray is truly a Canadian City with residence finding their home away from home in this community. It would only make sense that our nation is there to support them.
The anger and the comments regarding the various levels of government and the lack of response time to this event are interesting.
Picture yourself in an emergency situation. Do you know all the correct channels to go through when flood, fire or other acts of God happen.
