The amount of money paid to former city manager Glen Davies has people in Regina talking.
When the salaries of public employees were released earlier this week, it showed Davies made over 700-thousand dollars thanks to a clause in his contract which ended up in him getting paid 469-thousand dollars.
Mayor Michael Fougere calls that money “excessive”.
He adds no other city employee has that clause in their contract nor will anyone have that clause in the future.
The release of salaries showed 700 employees with the city make 100-thousand dollars or more.
Fougere, who makes 111 thousand dollars as mayor, says you have to spend a decent amount of money if you want quality hires.
