Senator Pamela Wallin will not be charged in connection to the Senate expenses scandal.
Nearly three years after the R-C-M-P first began investigating the Saskatchewan senator, the Mounties have finished their review and say they won’t pursue the matter further.
Wallin says she’s relieved it’s is over, and she will be speaking with her lawyer about what to do next.
Senator David Tkachuk (tah-KAH’-sik) chaired the committee that oversaw Wallin’s spending audit. He says he never believed Wallin did anything criminal in her expenses.
