Thanks to relatively good weather conditions, Regina road crews will be able to get several projects underway starting Tuesday:
Pasqua Street – Gordon Road to Parliament Avenue:
Crews will be starting road repairs and the work is expected to take 8 to 10 weeks.
The work will consist of concrete replacement, mud jacking and repairs to catch basins and man holes.
This will be followed by removal of the asphalt surface to repair the subgrade, installation of a turn bay at Parliament Avenue and then paving.
During the sidewalk and sewer repairs, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.
The work is to start on the west side and move to the east side before the road surface is repaired.
There will be no parking in the construction zone area during the work and no driveway access at times.
Pasqua Gate West – Dalgliesh Drive to Pasqua Street:
This work is expected to take three weeks and will consist of concrete replacement and mud jacking followed by removing the old, worn asphalt and paving of the road surface.
During construction two-way traffic will be maintained.
There will also be some restrictions along the turn lanes onto Pasqua Gate West.
Two other road disruptions begin Tuesday:
14th Avenue – Toronto Street to Wallace Street
Broadway Avenue – Winnipeg Street to Wallace Street – is one site where crews will be doing upgrades to the water system.
Crews will be upgrading underground utilities.
Work will be done in phases and will include the closure of the intersection of Winnipeg Street and 14th Avenue when work progresses to that location.
The work will take approximately five weeks to complete.
