Seeding is almost complete across Saskatchewan.
The latest crop report says 94 per-cent of the crop is in the ground, well ahead of the five year average of 77 per-cent for this date.
Seeding ranges from 96 per-cent in the southeast to 91 per-cent in the east central region.
Rain was fairly general and slowed field operations this past week.
Rainfall ranged from zero to 95 millimeters.
Some areas will still need rain in the coming weeks for crops to emerge and establish.
Topsoil moisture is rated eight per-cent surplus, 86 per-cent adequate, and six per-cent short.
Overall, crops are in good to excellent condition.
However, there has been some damage caused by flea beetles, cutworms, localized flooding and lack of moisture.
Many producers are starting in-crop herbicide applications.
