The legendary country music star was accompanied by his wife Trisha Yearwood, and they sang for more than 15,000 people.
Brooks says playing six shows is a lot, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I love it. I think we’re very fortunate to get this many. I gotta tell you, if they wanted 10—yes, whatever you want, just to get the chance to play.”
The couple started touring together in 2014.
Yearwood says touring alone was fun, but she always missed Brooks when she was on the road.
“The most awesome thing for me about this tour is that we pack our bags and get on the plane together. We get to do what we both love to do, and we get to do it together.”
Brooks says he’s looking forward to each show because he feeds off the energy from his fans.
“It’s all about how the room sings back to you. And I gotta tell you, there is no better feeling in the world than to just put your hands on your hips, stop playing, listen and watch them.”
The couple’s final show in Saskatoon is on Sunday night.
The twitter feed #GarthInSaskatoon went crazy before during and after the first show Thursday night.
