And so, it has begun. The Canadian Football League rolled out “Pre-Season” action last night in Winnipeg!
New uniforms, new look and away we go! The March to the Grey Cup.
The perfect storm for a sports fan: basketball finals, baseball, football – tonight, throw in hockey finals.
Saskatchewan Roughriders will be breaking camp to re-organize for Saturday night at Mosaic Stadium. The rest of the day is filled with two other divisional rivalries
The City of Winnipeg, I predict, might see an influx of Saskatchewan plates this CFL season.
Who can resist going on a road trip to Manitoba, taking in a Bomber game to see Weston Dressler, Ryan Smith, Macho Harris, Sam Hurl, Patrick Neufeld, Ritchie Hall, Paul LaPolice – OH GOSH – there are probably other personalities I’ve forgotten.
Don’t distress about those “named” Rider jerseys – WEAR them WITH PRIDE to the game! I’m sure the players would love to see you. Gone but NEVER forgotten!
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will hold a Street Festival in Saskatoon on Sunday 21st Street East. Noon til 4pm. If you happen to be heading to the final Garth Brooks show, go early and take this in.
The Street Festival includes: Alumni, a Kids Zone, photo booth, Co-op BBQ and a lot of green and white.
As the City of Regina and Saskatchewan Roughrider fans say Farewell to Mosaic Stadium (Taylor Field), a reminder for fans – get to the game in enough time – so that you can get your ticket scanned, renew old friendships and enjoy the pre-game activities.
This could be the one and only time these players see Mosaic stadium! (no one like the word “CUT” )
