Parking already proved to be an issue at Thursday night’s Garth Brooks show in Saskatoon.
So the city of Saskatoon is reminding fans to be aware of where they park.
The city is asking residents from the west half of the city to take Highway 16 to Marquis, while those from the east half are asked to take Warman Road or Millar Avenue to Marquis.
Those are the instructions from Director of Transportation Angela Gardiner.
For those going to the late shows, Gardiner says you may want to avoid taking Idylwyld to Marquis.
Starting at 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the left turn lanes from Idylwyld onto Marquis will be closed, with traffic being redirected to 71st Street.
Saskatoon Police Service will be working with SaskTel Centre to keep traffic moving, when traffic volume may reach 20,000 vehicles in the area.
Saskatoon Transit will have continuous service from the downtown terminal for all shows, beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday and 5:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
There are also park & ride services available. Details can be found through the link with this story at Saskatoonhomepage.ca.
