The drive to the lake will likely be a bit more smooth for people travelling to Rowan’s Ravine.
The Government of Saskatchewan says work will begin this year to upgrade Highways 322 and 220 in the area.
A high water table and overweight truck traffic caused severe surface breaks to Highways 322 and 220 in 2015.
In response, the government upgraded Highway 322 from Highway 20 to Silton last year.
This summer, crews will begin resurfacing Highway 322 from Silton to the Glen Harbour access.
After the Glen Harbour access, Highway 322 will be upgraded to a good gravel surface for the next six kilometres north.
Highway 220 from Highway 20 to Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Park will also be upgraded to a good gravel surface.
Work will begin this year and will be completed over the next two construction seasons.
