Pride Week in Regina kicks off Monday morning with a flag raising ceremony at City Hall.
The Queen City Pride Festival is a week long celebration by held by Regina Pride and various community organizations.
Co-Chair of the event, Dan Shier says this year is almost more important in the light of the tragic Orlando shooting at a gay night club.
The Queen City Pride festival is held to educate, entertain and enlighten the community on LGBTQ history, achievements and struggles.
Co-chair of the event, Jesse Ireland says this year’s festival is bigger than ever.
Parade day is Saturday, June 25th and takes place in downtown Regina.
Staging for the parade will begin at 10:30am and the parade officially begins at 12:00pm.
The parade will finish at Victoria Park where festivities continue with OUT in Victoria Park.
