Saskatchewan RCMP say they pulled the body of a 23-year-old from a lake in the Qu’Appelle valley Wednesday morning.
Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP say it appears the victim drowned in Katepwa Lake.
Police were called to the lake on Tuesday when they say a man who was with friends swam out past a buoy where the water drops off.
They say he began to struggle and attempts to rescue him failed.
The body was located in about eight metres of water near where the person was last seen.
The coroner’s office is investigating but RCMP say the death is not considered suspicious.
