Last February when we got back from our Flea Market winter trip, I looked at the calendar and said to myself, “Wow, 4 1/2 months until my next vacation.” It seemed like a long time. Well, here we are, 4 1/2 months later and this is my last day for a couple of weeks.
Before I’m off, I have a little traveling to do. This morning I’ll be leaving the show early to make my way to Yorkton for the Grand Opening Celebration for the new Yorkton Auction Center.
Sunday morning I’ll hit the highway again. It’s time to go to Lethbridge to see mom and dad for a few days. Then it’s back home for a couple of days before we pack up our granddaughters and head out to Sherwood Forest for 4 days. The way the calendar looks, I’ll have 3 whole days after we get back from that excursion to spend at home doing whatever chores my wife has lined up for me. There isn’t anything written in stone, but I’ve heard her drop enough hints to get an idea what she wants me to do.
Time with the parents, granddaugters, a little fun, a little work, and no alarm clock waking me up at some ungodly hour. Sounds like a great way to spend a couple of weeks.
I’ll be back July 11th, just in time for the Craven Country Jamboree!
