Canada Day is coming! Nothing beats seeing a “FLY-PASS” from our Canadian Air Force. Some might think I’m joking!
NOT AT ALL!!
Whether its the Snowbirds, a Hornet, the powerful F18 – its a heart stopper and gives you goose bumps!
This week, Nevan and I will have a chance to ride in a classic piece of Air Force Aviation history. You can do the same.
Last year we saw a big old gunner / bomber flying over Regina. The popularity of this was incredible.
Last year I didn’t get the chance, this year I am not missing going for a ride!
Experimental Aircraft Association was founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes, EAA expanded its mission of growing participation in aviation to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters, and contemporary manufactured aircraft.
EAA is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress “Aluminum Overcast.” One of only 13 Fortress’s still flying, this aircraft is an icon of the Allied strategic bombing effort that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Unlike reading a history book, you can actually fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent machine, just as those brave young men did more than 60 years ago.

We are UP on Wednesday – I’m sure we will be waving, screaming, laughing and enjoying a flight of a lifetime!
