Hail damage appears to be quite localized from a storm last night in west central Saskatchewan northwest of Kindersley.
John Ippolito, regional crop specialist in Kindersley, says he talked to one farmer near Smiley who had extensive damage from baseball-sized hail.
Ippolito says the storm appears to be three miles wide at one point.
He says there does not appear to be more damage closer to Kindersley.
But he says it is too early to determine the extent of crop damage from the hail.
