The Regina Red Sox survived a back and forth affair with the first year Brooks Bombers in a Western Major Baseball League game Sunday afternoon at Currie Field by taking a 6-5 win.
The Red Sox had a 4-1 lead after four innings when Jon Nunnally hit a three run homer, but the Bombers came back and took a 5-4 lead after a 3 inning 7th.
That led to the bottom of the 8th inning when Derek Slate tied the game driving home Justin Erlandson with a double. Slate would then score on an error one batter later to give the Red Sox a lead they wouldn’t give up.
Regina is now 19-11 on the season.
