There’s been another fatal crash involving a small passenger plane on the Prairies.
Transport Canada will investigate a light airplane crash which happened Wednesday evening around 8:30.
Wakaw RCMP were advised of the crash about one mile north of the town of Hoey, Saskatchewan.
The pilot died on the scene.
Transport Canada assist in the investigation along with members of the Wakaw RCMP Detachment.
Next-of-kin have been advised as well as the local coroner.
The name of the deceased will not be released at this time pending consultation with family members.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Last Friday, a 22-year-old man was killed after his plane crashed in a farmer’s field near Rocanville, Sask.
And on July 1, two off-duty military men were killed when their small plane crashed in the Rural Municipality of Springfield near Winnipeg.
Capt. Bradley Ashcroft and Capt. Zachary Cloutier-Gill were both served with the Canadian Armed Forces in Winnipeg, though neither was a military pilot by trade.
