Environment Canada says some parts of the province are under a weather advisory Tuesday morning.
According to the weather office, conditions will be favourable for the development of funnel clouds today in southwest regions.
A low pressure system over western Saskatchewan will lead to scattered thunderstorm development beginning around noon.
As these thunderstorms develop, conditions could be favourable for funnel clouds.
Environment Canada explains these types of funnel clouds are generated by weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms.
However, there is a chance this rotation could intensify and become a weak landspout tornado.
