For the second straight morning I woke up at exactly 1 A.M. before drifting off until about 2. After that I was wide awake and ready to come in to work. A few weeks ago I blogged about waking up at around 11:15 for 3 nights in a row. I have no idea why that happens. Perhaps these nights are telling me something. Maybe if I jumble a bunch of those numbers together I’ll come up with the winning combination for the next Lotto Max!
Speaking of that, we still have no idea who the winner is of that $60 million jackpot from a couple of weeks ago. I guarantee it’s not me. There is no way I could keep my mouth shut for that long after winning that much money! I just hope the winner isn’t somebody I hate. Wouldn’t that suck if you’re worst enemy won that kind of cash? I sure would love to rub something like that into the noses of some people that I’m not too fond of!
Driving in to work this morning along Victoria Ave., I noticed the city was watering the grass on the median, which I thought was odd, considering I had my windshield wipers going full tilt at the time. I’ve driven in on some beautiful mornings this summer and not once had I noticed the sprinklers turned on. Yet, on a rainy morning…
A couple of months ago I planted some flowers in our flower bed out back. The flowers are looking beautiful, and finally, after nearly giving up all hope, the marigolds are starting to blossom. I’ve been very patient with these things and I’m not a very patient man. Five bright orange flowers are on show right now in our backyard, which doesn’t seem like a lot, considering we have 8 huge marigold plants. I was going to water the plants yesterday, but I decided to trust the weather forecast that was calling for showers all day today.
Of course, a little rain never stopped the city from watering it’s plants!
