A Saskatchewan couple has two boys, four car seats and a nanny but they’re being asked by the Canada Revenue Agency to prove that their children exist again.
Devin Dubois and his wife first got a letter in 2014 asking for proof they have children.
Dubois says he provided evidence of their Canadian citizenship, their children’s social insurance numbers, child-care receipts and property tax details.
But the Saskatoon dad is shaking his head because now his family has received a second letter – asking for the same information.
The revenue agency letters say people must reply or their child and family benefits could be terminated and they might have to repay benefits already received.
