Saskatchewan’s job vacancy-rate in the private-sector has dropped 0.1 percent to 1.8 percent in the second quarter.
62-hundred jobs in Saskatchewan remain unfilled.
Marilyn Braun-Pollon with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business says the weaker resource sector is affecting the numbers.
She says a year ago, the job vacancy rate was 2.8 per cent and 9,600 jobs were unfilled.
Braun-Pollon says in the second quarter of 2014, the vacancy rate was 3.7 per cent and 13,000 jobs were unfilled.
The national vacancy rate is at 2.4 percent in the second quarter of 2016.
