McMorris was in court this morning, where Judge Barbara Tomkins fined him $1,820 and suspended his license for one year.
McMorris says he has already been for counselling in regards to his drinking.
“I’m extremely embarassed and actions that day. There are no excuses, there is no rational whatsoever for what I have done,” said McMorris.
McMorris had a blood alcohol level of more than two and a half times the legal limit.
He was pulled over by RCMP in a construction zone in early August.
