A member of the Regina police service pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
37-year old Constable Devon Sterling, an 11-year member of the force, was fined 1000 dollars, and had his drivers licence taken away for one year. He also must pay a 300 dollar surcharge.
Sterling was off-duty at the time when he was pulled over this past July near Lumsden at a traffic stop.
The Regina police service says Sterling will remain a member of the force, and will perform office duties until an administrative investigation is complete.
