The Saskatchewan Roughriders remember the past Friday night as the Plaza of Honor dinner is held.
This year, two people are being inducted–receiver Matt Dominguez and long-time trainer Ivan Gutfriend.
Dominguez played for the Riders for six seasons, and had 250 catches for over 37-hundred yards and 19 touchdowns.
Gutfriend spent 38 years with the Riders as their athletic therapist before retiring in 2015. He has 3 Grey Cup rings.
The induction of Dominguez and Gutfriend means 120 players, coaches and builders of the team have been recognized along with three of the four Grey Cup champion teams.
Dominguez and Gutfriend will be saluted in a half-time ceremony Sunday when the Eskimos take on the Riders in a 230 start.
620 CKRM’s Sportscage will originate from the Credit Union Eventplex on Friday in advance of the proceedings.
