A public inquest begins Monday into the death of Adele Jennifer Morin.
The 39-year old was arrested for public intoxication causing a disturbance on October 6, 2014.
She was placed in a cell at the Sandy Bay RCMP Detachment where she was later found unresponsive.
An inquest must be held whenever a person dies while an inmate at a jail or correctional facility, unless the coroner is satisfied that the death was due to natural causes and was not preventable.
Five days have been set aside for the inquest, to be held in Creighton.
