Yesterday afternoon I was back up on the roof taking care of some very full eaves. The leaves from the trees in the backyard have mostly dropped off their perches, so that was probably the last time I’ll have to go roof hopping with my leaf blower for the year. I was planning on doing that before all that rain fell last week, but I just didn’t get around to it.
It’s a messy job if you wait until after the rain falls. Not only was I blowing the leaves out, but also all of the mud that was underneath all of those yellow critters. With a windy day like we had yesterday, it made it a little dirty. The leaves and the mud I was blowing out of the eaves were blowing right back on me.
When I was finished I went into the bathroom to wash up. It turned out that a wash wouldn’t have been enough. I had to have a shower. It’s not easy pulling muddy leaves out of 3 pounds of hair gel!
Hey, I didn’t mind though. I’ll be praying for a day like that when January rolls around!
