He calls homelessness a big issue in Regina, and says as mayor he would like to work with community partners to set a date and eradicate homelessness in the city.
Fougere will also be pushing to continue with the Railyard Renewal project, and encourage arts and culture in the city.
“Best city in Canada — no question about that. We have so many good things happening, but we have challenges too. Part of that leadership is addressing those challenges, acknowledging the challenges, and trying to fix those issues,” said Fougere.
He calls the wastewater treatment plant, the civic pension plan and the new Mosaic Stadium the City’s biggest accomplishments during his time as Mayor.
