In our borderless society of the workplace, I am listening to a Blue Jays fan discuss a trip to see the Jays play Texas in Toronto.
I have to admire the fact he’s going because it is going to be CRAZY FUN.
Not sure the cost and its none of my business. I can appreciate the adventure aspect of the trip!
Having watched the Rangers/Jays at the beginning of the season, at Rogers Centre, you know its going to be electric – it is after all the playoffs! The two teams have that “chemistry” – they just don’t like each other – there’s mutual respect, but that’s it!!
As for the events that took place in the Wildcard game, that crap happens. But really, throwing cans or projectiles on to the field – come on! Fans!! Really?
I’ve had a front row seat when a fan and a player went at it in Section 26 at Taylor Field. I have been right there when stuff when whizzing by your head. Its not good.
The Rangers and Jays both expressed that emotions were running high. It has also been agreed upon, that was an incredible game. And last night another with the Mets and Giants, taking it down to the wire; this is going to be an action packed October!
Back to our road warrior.
This is truly the equation of a credit card marketing scheme.
Game Ticket $200
Beer and Snacks $125
Seeing the Jays crush the Rangers PRICELESS!
(Of course, my numbers are not accurate!)
I am not a fan of the “BUCKET LIST” term! (There’s a book available that is dedicated to this.) And so, my question to you is, who or what event would you go that extra mile for.
A playoff or championship game would truly rank very high! But with that comes the huge price tag. #MoneyIsNoOBJECT
OR … OR … Enter A CONTEST!
And if you are very lucky, you get the call and you’re off all expenses paid … well, you know within limits. Now that’s an option!
Here’s a crazy story for you!
A friend of mine entered a contest at Roger’s cellular in Regina and won a trip to Toronto courtesy of Kelly Gruber and Rogers! They watched Jays final regular season game from the President’s box, as Gruber’s guest – along with some other people!
Nice job, Dave! Here’s what happened; He drives from Medicine Hat to Regina for Rider home games. He was in the Grasslands Rider store and noticed some action at the Roger’s Cell shop next door! Kelly Gruber was signing autographs. He entered the contest and WON the TRIP for 2 to Toronto!
You just never know how you are going to experience life! Best bet! JUST DO IT!
Have fun Derek!
