A seven-year old girl and a 52-year old woman were taken to a Regina hospital with serious injuries after a dog attack Friday afternoon.
Regina police say they were called to a home in the 500 block of Pasqua Street, after a dog apparently bit a girl and a woman.
Police say the incident occurred shortly after noon.
The injuries are described by police as serious, but not life-threatening.
According to a police report, animal control, along with police found the dog in the basement of the home, got it under control and removed the animal.
Regina Animal Protection now has the dog in quarantine and will be contacting the owner to determine what happens next.
Police said the dog is owned by a family member of the victims.
The breed of the dog has not been released, but it was described as a weighing between 80 and 100 pounds.
