Today’s Farm Fresh Song Of The Day not only pays tribute to some country greats, but it’s a tribute to the outstanding females in the genre, past and present.
Stephanie Quayle’s new single, “Drinking With Dolly”, has impressed a lot of people… Even Dolly Parton gave the song her stamp of approval.
The song was co-written by Canadian Victoria Banks, and Quayle says she loved the song from the beginning.
It feels like the song I was always meant to sing. It’s an anthemic tribute to the women of country music in a time when we [female country artists] are fighting to be heard; it bridges the conversation of traditional and modern country music. More than anything, from the first chord and the first line, ‘sometimes I think I was born too late,’ this song has a magic. It is truly a blessing to share it!”, Quayle said on her website.
