Austin Wagner scored a pair of shorthanded goals while Jake Leschyshyn added another one as the Pats improved their record to 8-0-3-0 with a 4-2 win over the Spokane Chiefs.
The three shorthanded goals give Regina nine on the season. It is the 2nd time this season they have scored three goals in a game while shorthanded.
It was “Breast Cancer Awareness”night at the Brandt Centre as the two teams played on pink ice with many of the Pats using pink tape on their sticks.
The Pats will board the bus and play the Central Division leading Medicine Hat Tigers Saturday night in a game that will start on CKRM2 and move over to 620 CKRM once the Saskatchewan Roughriders broadcast is over.
