The annual Canadian Western Agribition was the focus of a noon hour barbecue Tuesday in downtown Regina.
Heavy horses and a farm tractor were on display at the south end of the Scarth Street Mall.
Agribition CEO Chris Lane says the annual livestock event features entertainment and a huge trade show.
He says a new event is called “Running with the Bulls” and is inspired by running with the bulls in Spain.
He says it is a daredevil event for anyone who wants to sign up to run with nine rodeo bulls.
But he says its a bit safer than the event in Spain.
The winner receives 15 hundred dollars and is chosen by a vote by spectators.
Lane also announced a new entertainment partnership with Country Thunder Music Festival, formerly known as the Craven Country Jamboree.
Lane says the Country Thunder Stage at Agribition will feature live music all week long at the show.
Music acts will be announced in coming weeks.
The annual 6-day livestock and trade show opens Monday November 21st and wraps up Saturday November 26th.
