The NDP is asking for an overhaul of provincial election campaign financing rules.
Opposition critic David Forbes calls the current rules inadequate, and wants a limit on individual contributions.
He says Saskatchewan has the weakest rules in Canada, comparing them to the “Wild West.”
Premier Brad Wall says the average corporate donation has been one thousand dollars and the average individual support amounts to one hundred dollars.
He says the province has introduced stricter rules about registering lobbyists to ensure greater transparency in the system.
