It happened around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 2.
Police say they were dispatched to the 2100 block of Cornwall Street for a report of a suspicious person in a building.
Officers located a man inside and attempted to negotiate with him for a period of time.
Police believe the suspect had a knife and his words and actions indicated he was potentially dangerous and intended to harm someone.
The knife was made visible to officers as the CEW was deployed and he was taken safely into custody, unharmed.
The use of the CEW has been documented as per policy and will be reviewed by a Use of Force Committee.
24-year old Gregory Wolfe of Regina is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and will be in court on Thursday.
