His Holiness visited the first purpose-built mosque in Regina to lead a prayer and hold a press conference.
The Caliph is on a six-week tour of Canada and says he’s promoting Islam’s message of hope, love and peace.
Caliph Ahmad says he hopes to change people’s negative misconceptions around the religion.
“It makes me work harder than before, and that is what I require of my community members, so that they remove this misconception from the minds of the people,” he said.
There are about 1,500 Ahmadiyya Muslims in Saskatchewan.
