Start out slow and build to a crescendo, that’s a Monday!
After a busy weekend, do you feel as though you don’t want to talk to anyone come Monday. “Blah” Mondays happen!
I think after being out all day Saturday “eventing” and much the same on Sunday, I feel let down by two football loses and the fact that I did little to improve my home situation! Vague news of Darian Durant’s future leaves me unsettled and oddly sad!
Seems like the same broken record; nothing accomplished! AGAIN! Am I lazy! Am I unmotivated! Does one blow all their energy on work and the people we “entertain”. Leaving one to be exhausted. That tank takes a bit more time to refill!
Sunday afternoon, I walked downtown and then went for a nice quick paced jaunt around Wascana Park. I immediately felt much better! A clear head, however it was then dark!
I returned to the home front and quickly felt like going somewhere else! Today, I will travel over to see Jamie at Mosaic Stadium and quickly avoid my own home to look after my sister’s yard! I’m going clean up her yard with a leaf blower! F.U.N.
Some good things are happening at my home. The apartment management has installed surveillance cameras in the lobby of my building and new lighting on the outside!
Thank you for this!
I hope this doesn’t drive the rent up in an already inflated market. These repairs have been tabled for many years. 2017 appears to see those changes coming.
Morgan and Austin Rock; Larry Mueller, Ron Nugent, Neil Hughes were some of the familiar faces I saw while “Slingin’ Beer” at the Rams game. To all those that enjoyed adult refreshments, you were helping the Downtowners’ Optimist Club support youth projects. If I was slow counting money … sorry .. I’m a volunteer!!! If only there would have been more time on the clock. (I hate math!!)
Good Luck UBC Thunderbirds, the road back to the Vanier Cup gets a bit clearer. And thanks to the U of R Rams for an exciting run, 2017 will be just around the corner.
From the Rams game to the Pilsner Place Party for the Roughrider broadcast and then to a station event; it was a day to hang out at Mosaic Stadium. Again, a terrific chance to enjoy the cuisine of Executive Chef, Josh Robins and company. This crew are kept busy basically all year. (It is one of those delicious, hidden secrets of the stadium!)
Looking back on the weekend, I should not feel the Monday Blues …. the weather was and is incredible, its a shortened work week and there are many activities on the agenda for Remembrance Week. Things just don’t slow down.
Breath deep, go for a walk, have a laugh or two, be active and SNAP OUT OF IT!
