The new partially complete 37 million dollar International Trade Centre at Evraz Place is ready for next week’s Canadian Western Agribition.
Agribition CEO Chris Lane says the building this year will be home to several breeds of cattle, horses, sheep and goats.
When fully operational, he says it is an important facility for future years.
Mayor Michael Fougere says the large multi-purpose space will be used for several events like Agribition, The Farm Progress show and trade fairs.
Phase two, final construction will start early in the new year with a target completion of next November.
Exhibition Stadium and the remaining half of the winter Fair building will be taken down in early January.
