Two members of the Regina Pats will have an opportunity to play for Canada at this year’s World Junior Hockey Championship in Toronto/Montreal.
Hockey Canada is inviting Sam Steel and Austin Wagner to their training camp which begins December 10 in Blainville, Quebec
Steel, a first round draft pick of the Anaheim Ducks, has 41 points in 19 games this season while Wagner, a draft pick of the L-A Kings, has 19 points in 18 games.
Pats prospect Tyson Jost was also invited to the camp.
Jost was acquired by Regina in an off-season trade with Everett, but he is playing NCAA Hockey with the University of North Dakota.
Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brett Howden and Kamloops Blazers goalie Connor Ingram, who comes from Imperial, were also invited.
