A 32 year-old woman is in custody after Christmas and Boxing Day robberies in Regina.
Just after 8:30 p.m. Monday night, police were called to a business on the 3100 block of Avonhurst Drive, where the suspect had entered the business with an axe and mask covering her face.
After a brief struggle with staff outside the business, she made of with an undisclosed amount of cash, but was taken into custody a short time later.
The woman was then transported to hospital where she became violent and attacked police with a syringe, police then had to deploy their Conducted Electrical Weapon, to gain control of the situation.
Thirty-two year old Sarah Stevenson, has been charged with Robbery with a Weapon, Disguise with Intent, two counts of Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and Assaulting a Peace Officer with a Weapon.
Investigations also provided grounds to lay charges against Stevenson for a robbery that had occurred a day earlier on the 2100 block of Pasqua Street, where Stevenson was also charged with Robbery with Violence and Disguise with Intent.
Stevenson was scheduled to make her first court appearance Wednesday.
