I will admit after 12 days of no alarm clock it was a little tough to get out of bed this morning. Nearly two weeks of late nights, sleeping in, and a lot (and I mean A LOT) of food takes its toll on a person.
I spent all that time back at my family farm in Handel, SK. It was a great chance to catch up with my parents, siblings, grandmas, and old high school friends. I was particularity excited to see my only nephew. Being an uncle is a pretty neat thing. My brother and his family live out in BC now, so this time together over the holidays is even more special.
I’m proud to say I did get a little bit of exercise in during the holidays… And it came in the form on sports. The beer leagues! I managed to sneak my way into two rec hockey games, and two curling games over the holidays. Would you believe the teams I was on ended up winning ALL FOUR GAMES! The curling was particularly interesting considering I hadn’t stepped on the pebbled ice in nearly 5 years. Might have to find a curling team down here in Regina.
The holidays are a special time of the year for sure! I’m glad to be back “on air” this morning, and look forward to catching up on the radio.
Oh, one more picture to share from Harvard Broadcasting’s Christmas Party. Would you believe we karaoke’d “Highwayman”, and I was Johnny Cash!! Hopefully no video footage of that is floating around.
It’s good to be back.
Cheers & Happy New Year!
