Regina Transit is reminding bus-goers about an increase in fares as of January 1.
Lynette Griffin with Regina Transit says that increase isn’t a big one as the cost of riding a bus will go up 25 cents to 3.25 from the current 3 dollars.
Griffin doesn’t feel the price increase will stop people from not riding the bus as the jump isn’t big in nature.
She adds the price of riding a bus in Regina is comparable to other Western Canadian cities.
This is the 2nd year in a row that a bus fare in Regina has gone up by a quarter at the start of the year.
