Regina city council is giving the go-ahead to a pilot project when it comes to snow clearing.
After a heavy snowfall, there will be a five kilometer route which will see no parking during snow clearing days.
That route goes from Broad and Victoria Avenue down Winnipeg to College ending at Abbott Road.
The project will see if snow clearing is improved because there are no parked cars to work around.
Cars that remain parked will be towed with the city saying there will be at least eight hours notice given.
The program will cost around 85-thousand dollars with much of the money going to cover signage and public awareness about the program
