Sam Steel is showing everyone in the playoffs what he did in the regular season.
After registering 5 points in Game 2, Steel had three goals in Game 3 as the Regina Pats beat the Calgary Hitmen 5-2 at the Saddledome Tuesday night to take a 3-0 lead in their WHL Eastern Conference first round playoff series.
Steel, who was named the Canadian Hockey League player of the week Tuesday, got Regina off on the right foot when he scored just 1:02 into the first period with another one coming eight and a half minutes later.
Wyatt Sloboshan and Dawson Leedahl had the other Pat goals while Tyler Brown stopped 41 of 43 shots.
