Regina police have issued a multitude of firearms charges against a 35-year old man after the SWAT unit was called to a home on Tuesday.
Police were called Tuesday afternoon during the noon hour about a man with a firearm entering a home on the 1000 block of Retallack in north-Central.
Three people were in the home with two leaving, but the third would not exit the house threatening to harm hinself and police prompting a call to the SWAT unit.
Before they arrived, the suspect gave himself up, but he did not go peacefully as he refused an order to get into a nearby vehicle resulting in the canine unit being used.
A 35-year-old Regina man is facing multiple firearms charges after the SWAT team was called to a North Central house Tuesday.
Joseph Poitras made his first court appearance on the matter Wednesday.
