The Water Security Agency is warning about the possibility of flooding in some areas of the Saskatchewan grainbelt.
The agency says there is the potential for ice jams and flooding as spring runoff progresses.
There have been several reports of ice jams in the RM of Hudson Bay near Erwood in the northeast and the northwest between Alberta and North Battleford.
The Water Security Agency expects breakup to occur on the North Saskatchewan River this week, which could result in ice jamming.
The public is being asked to be cautious when near the river as ice jams can flood areas upstream very quickly and once it breaks up it can also flood areas downstream.
