Mother’s Day week, great time to consider what mother means to you!
Who gave you the confidence to do all the stuff you do today, was it your mom. Maybe it was a combo of mom and dad. Sisters and brothers often give that extra push. Many times a mentor gives you the advice you need.
Maybe mom has played all of those roles.
Getting a jump on doing something for mom this year, isn’t a bad idea. Mash up a few things and don’t get stuck with just buying flowers. Maybe mom would like a little piece and quiet. That goes for new mothers, they might really enjoy sleeping in!
Anyway – good luck with this project. I know for our mom, getting the hell outta her new residence would be great! She’s bored with the lifestyle she currently is residing in. A highly repetitive environment, that a spry 97 year old finds a drag!! I see now where I get a lot of my tendencies from.
On that note, I’m still thinking of Seattle! Or shhhhhh Windsor! A road trip is a must to calm this restless spirit. (Regina Pats and Seattle Thunderbirds – Memorial Cup 2017 in Windsor)
I must admit, after being hunkered down in a cleaning mode for a month, I’m now inclined to keep up the pace and totally smash cleaning up my place.
Between t-shirts and little tidbits of memorabilia I could fill up a number of bags or boxes for donations. I’m sure I could make a pretty penny. Concert loot and Harley-Davidson gear – any takers. Saskatchewan Roughrider t-shirts and other collectibles.
When you have collector tendencies, it adds up and then boom! I have not been living by that rule: for every one thing you bring in, something goes out! Or maybe a few things.
And for that reason, I am not yet willing to give up the garbage and recycling bin keys .. YET!
Cloudy, spring weather might inspire you to clean out a drawer or two or just lay down and have a nap. Whatever you do, enjoy your Monday and start the week off with a bang.
