The Regina Salvation Army was the recipient of a 4-thousand-dollar cheque from city hall as part of the 2016 Mayor’s Run.
Mayor Michael Fougere handed the novelty cheque to Major Bruce MacKenzie in his office on Monday, and MacKenzie says it will go a long way in making a difference.
“The Salvation Army is actively working throughout the city in a bunch of places to try and share hope with neighbours who need the assistance,” said MacKenzie. “This helps to reach into our community in fresh ways so they we can help make a difference into their lives.”
The 2017 Mayors Run will take place June 11th
