The city of Regina has begun mailing out property tax notices.
Property taxes are due for payment to the city of Regina by Friday, June 30.
Included with the property tax notice this year is an insert explaining the collection and disbursement of provincial education, library and City taxes.
The insert is designed to provide clear information to property owners about how their property taxes are calculated and where their tax dollars are allocated.
Regina city council was forced to re-open their budget after the province reduced funding for the grants-in-lieu program.
A total property tax increase of 6.49 per-cent was the result as the city was left with an 11-million dollar shortfall.
